Spring Fever Bingo!

Yes, I know it's May and I still have a snowman on my blog. It's crazy, I know, but I really like snowmen. Stay cool * it's okay to be a little bottom - heavy * live well, life is short * spend time outdoors * avoid melt downs * be well rounded * be a jolly happy soul ... are all good ideas for living. So, until I find something that "speaks" louder than these timeless pieces of advice and that cute snowman ... it's staying.

Having said that, I am thrilled to announce that it's time for

Happy Birthday Mom!

Made this for my Mom's birthday next week. The woman in the middle is meant to look like her. On Sundays when we eat together there are 10 of us around the table, (The 10 hearts over her head). She always wears an apron. I gave her the fabric for the apron she is wearing. The words are the way we describe her when we talk about her. I am excited to give it to her.

6" ~12" mini quilt swap

You're smiling aren't you? Carol made this cheery, bright, happy quilt for me! I just love that bunny, and those carrots are SO orange it makes me sigh in contentment. She name this quilt "9 Carrots." Pretty clever if you're asking me!

I am thinking Easter candy ... Thanks Easter Bunny, bawk, bawk.

6" ~12" mini quilt swap

This is a mini quilt I made for Carol in Wisconsin. She was tired of the cold and ready for some spring and was feeling like she'd lost her creative mojo. I really wanted to send her some joy and the result was this mini.

I was inspired by this tutorial girl on a swing by comfortstitching. I changed it up a bit ... can you believe I created that girl doing a cartwheel? I was pretty excited that it turned out the way I saw it in my head!

Happy Stitching!

An Apology

I cannot for the life of me figure out why my font sizes are different. It frustrates me to no end that I can't solve this blogging eyesore. When I create my post, it looks great until it publish and then I get this font mess.

So I am sorry for the gigantic print in these posts. xo
