6" ~12" mini quilt swap

This is a mini quilt I made for Carol in Wisconsin. She was tired of the cold and ready for some spring and was feeling like she'd lost her creative mojo. I really wanted to send her some joy and the result was this mini.

I was inspired by this tutorial girl on a swing by comfortstitching. I changed it up a bit ... can you believe I created that girl doing a cartwheel? I was pretty excited that it turned out the way I saw it in my head!

Happy Stitching!

  1. Very cute. Definitely shows signs of spring and brings good cheer!

  2. Oh wow! thanks for linking me to this!!! It's amazing!!!!
I love the way you did the girl cartwheeling and how you did the leaves on the tree!!!!!
Are you on flickr by any chance? would love this added to my group!!

  3. Your cartwheel girl is wonderful - love the detail in the fabrics in the background

  4. just wondering lori- do you ever lie awake at night and think "man, lori, i am just too dang brilliant?..." i think i would if i were you...

  5. Yah, Kelley, I was just telling Rolling Thunder last night about how "brilliant" I am ... NOT. I just get inspired by other quilter and add a twist. I am not original. Thanks for the lovely comment!
